Sopapilla Cheese Cake Recipe

This cream cheese dessert recipe is is a definite go-to when looking for easy dessert recipes. Cheese cake recipes are usually a little difficult, but this one is a piece of cake!! It would be the perfect ending to that Chicken Enchilada Dinner on Tiffany's Quick and Easy Dinner Recipes site or as a brunch item at a wedding or baby shower.

Ingredients

• 2 pkgs. crescent roll dough
hint: you might want to splurge on the name brand rolls - they are easier to work with!
• 2 8-oz. pkgs. cream cheese, softened
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1/2 cup margarine, melted
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 2 tbsp ground cinnamon

Directions

Line bottom of 9x13" baking pan that has been coated with nonstick cooking spray with 1 package crescent roll dough.

Mix cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and vanilla with electric mixer until smooth.

Spread mixture over crescent roll dough.

Top with second package crescent roll dough and pour melted margarine over top.

Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon (I mix up this amount of sugar and cinnamon but usually only use about half of the mixture; I store the other half in an airtight container and use the next time or for cinnamon toast!).

Bake 30 minutes in preheated 350 degree oven. This cheese cake is good warm, but even better after cooling and then refrigerating overnight.
